The Diagnostics tab checks every part that a translated call needs. Run it after the install, and when a call does not translate.
Run the checks
- Stop the translation if a call is translated.
- Open the Diagnostics tab.
- Select Run checks. The checks take about half a minute.
One check starts a test session and ends it at once. It carries no call audio.
Read the results
Each check says Pass, Warning or Fail, with a sentence that says what Taiwa found.
| Check | What it tests | If it does not pass |
|---|---|---|
| Taiwa audio devices | All four Taiwa audio devices are present. | If some are missing, restart Windows to finish the install. If all are missing, open the Devices tab and install them. |
| Audio through the Taiwa devices | Sound crosses the Taiwa devices cleanly. | The result says what Taiwa found, for example how often audio was dropped. Copy the report, and send it to your IT team or to Taiwa support. |
| Taiwa device levels in Windows | Windows has not muted or turned down a Taiwa device. | In the Windows sound settings, turn the named device back up to 100%. |
| Your microphone and headset | The devices that you selected are available. | Open the Devices tab and select your microphone and headset. |
| Remote Desktop | Taiwa runs on the computer's own screen. | Run Taiwa on the computer itself, not in a Remote Desktop session. |
| Echo cancellation | Echo cancellation points at your headset. | A warning means that your microphone decides for itself. Use a headset. Another microphone can allow it. |
| Connection to Taiwa | The app reaches Taiwa, and the translation provider accepts a test session. | Give your IT team the Network requirements. |
| Your account | You are signed in, and your organisation can translate. | Sign in, or speak to your administrator. |
Copy the report
Select Copy report, and paste the report into a message to your IT team or to Taiwa support. The report holds the results and technical details. It does not hold anything that was said on a call.
Audio health
Below the checks, Audio health shows counters for the audio since Taiwa started, for example dropped frames and the delay of the translation. Taiwa support can ask you for these figures.
