Remove the Windows app

Table of Contents

Do these steps in order. If you remove the app first, your call app can be left with no microphone.

1. Set your call app back to your own devices

In the audio settings of your call app, select your own headset as the speaker and as the microphone. Until you do, the call app still points at Taiwa Meeting Speaker and Taiwa Meeting Microphone.

2. Remove Taiwa's audio devices

  1. Open the Devices tab of Taiwa.
  2. Select Remove Taiwa's audio devices, and confirm.
  3. Allow the change when Windows asks. This step needs an administrator.

The audio devices belong to the computer, not to your Windows account. When you remove them, they are removed for everyone who signs in on this computer.

If the app says that some devices are still there, restart Windows.

3. Remove your settings and sign-ins (optional)

Select Remove settings and sign-ins. This signs out every agent who signed in to Taiwa in this Windows account, not only you. It also deletes the Taiwa settings and the saved transcripts of this Windows account. Then close Taiwa.

4. Remove the app

In Windows, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Taiwa, and select Uninstall.
