Install the Windows app and sign in

Table of Contents

Before you start

  • You need Windows 11.
  • The first install adds audio devices to the computer. Windows asks for an administrator for that step. If you do not have administrator rights, ask your IT team to install Taiwa for you.
  • Your administrator must invite you to Taiwa first.
  • Use a headset.

Install the app

  1. Download the installer from https://updates.taiwa.cx/desktop/Taiwa-Setup.msi, and run it. This address always has the latest version.
  2. Start Taiwa from the Start menu.
  3. Open the Devices tab. If the Audio driver card says that Taiwa's audio devices are not installed, select Install Taiwa's audio devices, and allow the change when Windows asks.
  4. If the app asks you to restart Windows, restart it.

When the driver is ready, the card says Audio driver ready and lists four devices as found.

  1. Open the Settings tab. Under Account, select Sign in.
  2. Your browser opens the Taiwa sign-in page. Sign in with your password, or with single sign-on.
  3. The page shows the account that Taiwa will use. Check it, and select Continue.
  4. Go back to the app. The top of the window now shows your address and your organisation.

Continue only if you started this sign-in yourself, on this computer, a moment ago.

More than one agent on one computer

Each agent signs in with their own account. To change agent, select your address at the top of the window, and select Sign in as someone else…. Taiwa cannot change agent while a call is translated.

Next step

Set your call app to use Taiwa's devices. See Set up your call app and audio devices.
